FAQ

Is it too late to apply to the upcoming SEE-U program?
No.  EICES accepts applications on a rolling basis throughout the academic year so you may apply at any time.  Applications are considered as they are received and there are a limited number of spaces available for our various field sites.  Therefore, the earlier you apply the better the chance that there will be space available at the field site of your choice.

Do I need to speak another language to attend the SEE-U program?
No.  All instruction is in English and your instructor and teaching assistants are happy to translate for you, if necessary.

My letter of recommendation will not arrive until after next rolling admissions application deadline. What should I do?
We understand if your letter of recommendation arrives after the next rolling admission deadline.  Please submit the rest of your application materials and we will begin processing your application prior to receiving your recommendation letter.

Do I need to bring a laptop?
Yes, a laptop computer is required for the SEE-U program. It is also strongly recommended that you install a copy of Microsoft Excel on your computer prior to your departure for the field site.  Please contact EICES in advance of the program if you do not have a laptop computer.

Can I arrive late?
This is not advised.  Late arrival means will miss critical information and activities including course and site orientation.  If you arrive late to the SEE-U program you may be required to pay an additional charge for transportation from the airport to the field site.  Late arrival to the SEE-U program requires advanced notification and permission from EICES.

Can I leave early?
This is also not advised.  Early departure from the SEE-U program requires advanced notification and permission from EICES.
